Intensive training 


Learning a new skill, especially a handstand, does not have to be daunting or impossible task! Whether you can kick up to a handstand in the middle of the room, against the wall, or aiming to achieve one arm I’m offering you this handstand intensive training to reach high level of control and confidence in your skills, regardless of your level. The focus of intensive is to build solid foundation, build confidence and understanding of skills and build your own practice

First day of the training I’ll be teaching handstand alignment work against the wall progressing into L shape handstand against the wall then work on kicking into L shape handstand. Those who are working on their one arm will be given alternative drills.

Second day will be mainly focus on tuck handstand drills to improve positions and tuck handstand sequences and jumping into handstand . Participants who are aiming to improve their one arm will be given option to do all drills in one arm handstand both sides .

Third day of the training we will start with handstand alignment drills on the floor and against the wall progressing to straddle handstand transitions, entries into straddle handstand various way and side bend preparation . Students who are practicing one arm handstand will be given option to do all drills and exercises in one arm

Fourth day will start with alignment drills against the wall to improve coordination and awareness when executing 2 arm handstand progressing to one transfers and hold against the wall and will explain correct technique and how practice one arm especially full position .

Fifth day of the training we will revisit all the drills, shapes and transitions we have been practicing on previous 4 days.

However, I thoroughly enjoyed the extra challenge and felt inspired by the others around me who seemed to float into their handstands with ease and grace! A 6 week press up to handstand course typically focuses on developing the necessary strength, flexibility, coordination and technique to achieve press to handstand .

🧘‍♂️ **Who is this course for?**

This course is open to *all levels*, but you should be able to:

	•	Kick up to a handstand against the wall

	•	Hold for 10–30 seconds

 **What to expect:**

Pressing to handstand doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a complex skill that requires patience, time, and consistent work. This course is designed to help you understand the **mechanics of pressing** and to develop the necessary components to support your journey.

 **We’ll focus on:**

	•	**Flexibility:** Pancake, box splits, and hamstring mobility

	•	**Shoulder Strength:** Especially shoulder flexion strength (deltoids, chest, and scapular control)

	•	**Coordination:** Learning how to shift and stack your body to press efficiently

 Each week, Manu will guide you through drills and exercises that target these essential areas, helping you build the strength, mobility, and awareness needed to press to handstand with control

The course is designed for beginners, making it accessible for anyone who has little to no experience with handstands.

By the end of the course participants should have a better understanding of how to practice handstands.

This Flexibility class is going to be working towards splits and backbends.\
The first part is going to start with a warm up, focusing on hip flexors and hamstrings. Next, specific drills for strong and safe splits, as well as covering the technique for splits. In the second half of the workshop the focus will be on shoulders and backbends. We will work with both passive and active exercises, as it’s very important to learn which muscles need to be engaged in the different positions for most efficient and safe flexibility training.

No prior experience is required for this workshop as different progressions will be provided based on everyone’s individual needs.
